Just a 5 minute drive away lies the renowned Glen of Aherlow, one of Irelands most peaceful inland areas, hovering majestically between the Galtee mountains to the south and Slievenamuck ridge to the north. The Glen of Aherlow offers walking to suit everyone - you can enjoy many different grades of walks (maps available), stroll through the nature park or, for the more adventurous, take a climb in the Galtee mountains (Galtymore is 3,018 ft). For anglers, there is fishing in the rivers Suir and Aherlow, while golfers have the choice of four 18 hole courses within a 30 minute drive.
