Situated between the town of Tipperary and the beautiful Glen of Aherlow is Maple Lodge, our attractive dormer house which has a large private garden surrounded by fields, a south facing patio, and panoramic forest and mountain views.

The house itself, which sleeps 8, is newly built and has a cut stone facade. The ground floor comprises a kitchen, two reception rooms and one en-suite double bedroom.
The first floor has 3 further bedrooms (one en-suite double and two twin-bedded rooms), a bathroom and a hot-press.

As you will see later, the house is decorated and equipped to a very high standard. There is private parking, children are welcome and a baby-sitter service can be provided.

Just a 5 minute drive away lies the renowned Glen of Aherlow, one of Ireland’s most peaceful inland areas, hovering majestically between the Galtee mountains to the south and Slievenamuck ridge to the north.

The Glen of Aherlow offers walking to suit everyone - you can enjoy many different grades of walks (maps available), stroll through the nature park or, for the more adventurous, take a climb in the Galtee mountains (Galtymore is 3,018 ft).

For anglers, there is fishing in the rivers Suir and Aherlow, while golfers have the choice of four 18 hole courses within a 30 minute drive.

The market town of Tipperary has retained much of its charm and beauty through the passing of time, and is an important “Heritage Town of Ireland”. The dream of a heritage project became reality in 2001 with the opening of the Excel Heritage Centre in the town. With a theatre, interpretative centre, family history research facilities, gift shop, café, cinemas and tourist information, there’s lots to do on an ‘indoor’ day. In the evenings you will find traditional music session in many local pubs at the weekends, and on Tuesday nights at the Kickham Lounge.

So, come and stay in Maple Lodge and sample a walking, cycling, horse riding, golf, angling and cultural break, all rolled into one! Or just relax, and soak up the stress-free environment.

Whatever you choose to do, you are sure to be captivated by the friendliness, the scenery and the ‘craic’.
