Of course it does rain sometimes! If that happens there is plenty to do in Waterford with an award winning museum, fine historic buildings and the word-renowned Waterford Crystal Centre. In Clonmel, Carrick on Suir, Cashel, Dungarvan, Youghal and Cork historic sites, and shops abound - and these are within easy reach by car. Three local hotels also allow you to use their extensive leisure facilities at very reasonable prices.

| Traditional Music and Dance |
| The Deise is renowned for its traditional music, played for locals by locals, and its dancing - our local set dancers and musicians having won many honours at national level. So there's rarely a night when music isn't being played in one of our hostelries, and during the first weekend in May we don't sleep(!) for four days whilst we celebrate the Feile na Deise, the annual song and dance festival held in Dungarvan where local talent and artists from round the world can be found performing traditional music. During the school holidays regular 'Seisiuns' are held in Dungarvan and down the road at Coulnasmear when you can see our talented local youngsters sing, dance and play. |
